Car spares to Africa

We recently had a client who wanted some particularly expensive car parts from a prestigious and world renowned car manufacturer.

They were destined for Ethiopia but when our client asked for the company’s position on whether they exempted international sales from VAT they were told that it was the customers responsibility to reclaim the VAT from the UK Customs and Excise.

This bureaucratic nightmare is fraught with difficulties unless you are experienced in the myriad of paperwork that needs to be completed.

Our client turned to us (he has been a long term freight customer) to see if we can help.

We bought the car parts for him, deducted the VAT from his invoice and forwarded the goods to him. Nothing could have been simpler
